A man should not leave this earth with unfinished business. He should live each day as if it was a pre-flight check. He should ask each morning, am I prepared to lift-off? Don, before his fame, was a United States Air Force Pilot and indeed has made his last "flight" to the surly bonds of heaven, and has touched the face of God.

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Uncle Don Ho who was born in Hawaii on August 13, 1930 and passed away on April 14, 2007. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Uncle Don Ho brought the Spirit of Hawaii to people all over the world. His music, performed in such a way that all could relate; in such a style and manner that drew people to him and the Hawaiian Islands.
His audiences were literally part of his show! Don invariably would have people (Kane’s, Wahine’s and especially Keiki’s -- men, ladies and especially children) come up to the stage and “talk story” with him, then sing and dance and just have a memorable time with uncle Don …. Memories that stayed with them forever. He would sing about the islands of Hawaii; of the love of the land; of the love of the people; and speak of the goodness, the history of such paradise in the middle of the pacific.

Note: Please post your memory of your experience (s) with or about Uncle Don Ho on the "Memories" page ..... thank you and Mahalo with Aloha!
